ABOUT Rick

Soho photographer

Whilst a student at Chelsea College of Arts I became a bartender in the west-end soaking in the grime, translating it into art. After finishing my Fine Art degree I remained in soho’s grip eventually being hired out of the pub by one of my regulars to work in a post-production house off soho square. Working up from a runner I trained behind the scenes in colour grading - moving from long form to short form for years, eventually leading to me shooting a short film for my own collective and continuing to colour grade on a freelance basis for other projects. Throughout I was still working on the side taking headshots for the industry my desire to become more hands on and love for the still image convinced me to leave my full time position in another post house to shoot for myself again. Capturing the essence of a moment, bringing risk and reward in a fleeting millisecond has always been the most thrilling element of lens based art for me.

I offer a bespoke photographic service with a variety of packages. I will be working with you to communicate an image, or helping you visualise the whole idea from conception.
